I'm trying to get web services running in 2.2.3.  I've performed all the steps in the overview page.  When I use the web service test client, it presents me with a drop down of functions that being with moodle_.  When I chose functions for my service, all of the moodle_ functions said DEPRICATED next to them, so I chose the matching core_ functions instead.

Why does the web service client not offer to test these core_ functions?

The script below in the Moodle install, any version, has not been updated to reflect the addition of the core_ webservices.

webservice/simpletest/testwebservice.php

Hi guys, thanks for the reminder. I created an issue today about that: http://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-33059

It's a pretty easy contribution actually if you'd like to tackle it (e.g. replacing moodle_ by core_, and adding some texts explaining why the web clients are not exhaustive)
