I have a brilliant hoster but for the fact they are not supporting PHP 5.3.2

I have repeatedly asked why and they have now told me that this is current unstable.

Is this correct?

I am having to work with moodle 2.0.8+ because of this.

The Debian distribution, which is famous for its conservative approach, delivers its "stable" version (Squeeze) with PHP 5.3.3.

I wonder who is unstable!

5.3.2 was released on the stable branch on 4th March 2010, so it's hardly living on the bleeding edge now.
