Moodle documentation: First letter case-sensitivity

Moodle documentation: First letter case-sensitivity

Is there a reason behind configuring Moodle docs MediaWiki to have first letter case-sensitivity (via $wgCapitalLinks)?

I set up an interwiki link between my MediaWiki site and Moodle docs, and was disappointed to find [[md:Backup]] and [[md:backup]] point to two different places.

My interwiki link URL is http://docs.moodle.org/en/$1. So the two URLs expand to:

http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Backup

and

http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/backup

Granted, it's just a minor annoyance to type [[md:Backup|backup]] to get the lowercase link text, but it seems unnecessary. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Ted

Hi Ted,

Moodle Docs has had first letter case-sensitivity since it was started. As I understand things, changing it now would break tons of links. Is this correct?
