Can someone point me in the right direction for exporting roster for a certain course into excel?

Go to the course and click Grades and then Export and then Excel spreadsheet. You'll get the grades but you will also get the students in the course.
Is there any way to export a list of Student enrolled in a course and see what group they belong to? Or to put in another way, to export a list of groups for a particular course and see the membership of each group?

I've also attached a quick and dirty postgres only solution.
Caroline, this is a common request from our teachers...I found out how to do it with this useful "trick" using Choice activity, as you can read in [Moodle 2.6-2.8] How to download the list of participants with groups in a course
I have a similar question. How can I export a list of site users with all their profile information, including the courses they've enrolled in (or completed / passed, etc)?
Also similar: is there a way to export a class list that includes basic course info (not just grades): course name, start date, end date, etc?
