I've been asked to allow access to all our moodle courses for an internal audit by a cross-college group of teachers.
Having spent some considerable time on this by creating a variety of new and limited roles I can't seem to make it work.
Basically, I want to be able to allocate a person to a role at system level (giving access to all moodle) while ensuring they can't change anything in any of the courses. Everything I have tried so far gives me the message "You can not enrol yourself in this course."
I can allocate these people as Managers but that then means they can enrol themselves as teachers, make changes etc and it's generally a risk which I'd prefer to avoid.
The guest access isn't terribly helpful to me as all our moodle courses are set to not allow guests by default and I would have to go through and change this for hundreds of courses for the purpose of the audit.
I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious here. If anyone has a suggestion I will be very grateful.
