I am trying to set up a link to wordpress where my students can create thier own entries in a wordpress blog that is set up through Moodle. i've looked at the documentation for LTI and to be honest I'm struggling. Anybody out there willing to give some advice or screenshots on how its done. I can get it so the wordpress webiste launches just like a normal url but I don't have user authentication

Kind regards

Mark

Hi Mark - I am coming very late to this one because I just arrived in this forum to ask a question about external tools myself. The documentation doesn't say much at the moment because I wrote it and I didn't know much at the time. If and when I learn more (hopefully from my own question coming up!) I will add to the documentation. Or if you have got it sorted in the meantime please add some documentation so I can learn from yousmile

Hi Mark

Like Mary I was looking for an answer to my IMS LTI question.

The only place I have come across anything relevant to your query is the Multi-user Word Press tool for blogs you can 'embed' in Moodle at Gavin Hendrick's site where he discusses various external tools:

http://www.somerandomthoughts.com/blog/2011/11/28/moodle-2-supports-connecting-to-ims-lti-tools/

and references Dr Chuck's multi user sandbox which can be used within Moodle as an IMS LTI.

This may help. Apologies, I do not have screenshots per se. Gavin's info helped me when I was creating an external tool for something else.

I also found this useful when setting up an external tool:

General LTI info (Moodle)

Kind regards

Kylie
