The history pages show that it is the same article which began "11:29, 9 March 2009 chris collman" and cloned sometime after "20:40, 5 March 2010 Manuel de la Torre". But the page comments to /19/ http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Talk:Server_cluster says, "When I have more time I will update this page with more information (most likely the real-world experience that we had here in San Francisco State University) - Wen 19:02, April 17, 2008 Wen Hao Chuang". How come the history begins on 5 March 2010?
I thought during cloning the comments too were duplicated, or am I mistaken?
In any case, what I wanted to know is the status of this article which belongs to the category "Performance"? I don't see any useful information in those few lines. I left a comment to that effect in the talk page on 18 Nov 2010, nobody replied.
Apologies for not noticing your talk page comment before now. I've just replied to it.
As you've noticed, there are no talk page comments in the 2.1 wiki onwards. This is because the majority of comments in the 2.0 wiki were about things which had already been done and thus were no longer relevant, and so we decided not to copy talk pages when creating the 2.1 wiki.
Thanks for the reply.
But I can't see any change. You wrote in the talk page, "I agree that the contents of Server cluster can be added to the performance documentation and a redirect added.", but apart from that
all the aricles I've linked in my previous post are still the same.
All "performance" articles,
still have a link to the corresponding
None of them contain any useful information.
I have now made sure that the info from the server cluster page is included in the performance recommendations and have redirected the server cluster page in the 2.1 and 2.2 Moodle Docs.
(When I add a comment about a suggested change to a talk page, I generally wait a while rather than immediately making the change, in case others have further comments, or the person who wrote the documentation wishes to make the change.)

Yes, http://docs.moodle.org/21/en/Server_cluster and http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Server_cluster now display the corresponding "Performance recommendations".
Still two problems:
- Though the content is "Performance documentation" the URL remains "Server_cluster". Is there a way of a changing that too?
- The content has gone under "See also". Shouldn't there be a subsection with matching title?

So far no further editing happened in http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Server_cluster resp. http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Server_cluster. I think it is now ok for similar changes as above in http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Performance and http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Performance_recommendations.
The redirect page with Server_cluster in the URL could be deleted (there are no pages in the wiki linking to it) though perhaps it's best not to in case there are links to it elsewhere, such as forum posts.
Performance recommendations now has a subsection titled 'Server cluster'. I think that's what you meant, but if not, please feel free to edit the page and change it.
Yes, under the present concept I expected
- the contents of http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Server_cluster to be moved to http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Performance and the link to be redirected to http://docs.moodle.org/19/en/Performance#Server_cluster.
- http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Server_cluster to be replaced by http://docs.moodle.org/20/en/Performance_recommendations#Server_cluster
- http://docs.moodle.org/21/en/Server_cluster to be replaced byhttp://docs.moodle.org/21/en/Performance_recommendations#Server_cluster
- http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Server_cluster to be replaced by http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Performance_recommendations#Server_cluster
Please understand that I am not saying they _have_ to be that way. It is just more convenient for me to provide such links in the discussions rather than collecting the pieces from various places.
