We have successfully installed Moodle (and Apache) on our server, which is running Windows 2003. Upon installing a t-1 line and connecting the server through the Linksys router, we can no longer access Moodle from outside our local network. Someone told us that we need to assign a port to the Moodle application (other than 80) to allow outside users access to the program, without giving them access to the server.
Anyone have any further insight into this issue? Do we need to assign a port to the program? How is that done? Any idea about what port (they said over 65,000) to use? Sorry to sound so uninformed, but this is new to us! Thanks. Pablo
