I am using Moodle 1.9.14+ (Build: 20111012). when i place a video in course page using "link to a file ro website" under resource drop down, the file downloaded when clicking to view. i need students to view the video within the course and not for download as i have seen in www.demo.moodle.net where a swf file plays wihtin the course and not downloadable.

Have you placed the video on the school network?

Hi Haider,
The easiest way to deploy video in Moodle 1.9 is the Media Player module: http://code.google.com/p/moodle-mplayer/ It plays video from the course files directory, Youtube.com, streaming servers, live feeds, etc. It's flexible and designed for non-developers to use.
For Flash animations and applications, the best module is the SWF Activity Module: http://code.google.com/p/swf-activity-module/ Again, it's designed to be as easy as possible for non-techy people to use.
