(Our installation of Moodle is very heavily customized, so upgrading is not an option.)
We've begun offering MP3 files of our instructor lectures as Resources, but have run into a problem with Moodle's built-in MP3 player. We would like to give our users the option to download and save the files on their own computers, or use their browsers' plugins to play the file. Unfortunately, I have found no way to disable Moodle's built-in player.
I've disabled the MP3 filter in general settings, as well as commented out a bunch of code in /mod/resource/type/file/resource.class.php which seems to invoke the UFO player when an MP3 file is viewed, but that doesn't seem to have done the trick.
Any suggestions, anyone? The various threads I've seen in the forums on this topic seem to have gone unanswered.
