I use a forum to create an Assignment Help area. As my number of comments and posts are growing I want to be able to create folders/sub-forums for each assignment. Anyone have suggestions on how to do this?
I am not sure if my technique will help, but maybe it will spur other ideas.
During one of my online weeks, I like to have my students participate in discussions. I give them around 6 to 8 topics, and they can pick from any of these and make four posts. If I were to just make a forum with no topics, it would be chaos organizing discussions. So instead, I always begin by making the very first posts. I'll attach several screen shots showing you what I mean.
