Hi,
Is there already a popup media selector/media manager for moodle?
The wysiwyg html editor
For example, if a moodle course has a lot of files, and I am creating a quiz question, I see a drop-down list of (image) files. I'd like to have a popup browser that lets me browse the directories and preview the files.
For simple cases, the drop-down list is fine. But for cases where there are lots of files, it becomes more difficult to find the correct file - especially if you have a poor memory, or the files are named similarly and/or cryptically.
Has somebody already made a plugin for this? If not, can somebody recommend a good starting point?
Thanks!
Media selector?

Have you clicked on the image icon in the editor recently?
Then click on "Browse" ...
Re: Media selector?
yes, exactly that functionality is what I want. However, I'd like to have that popup available without the html editor - so that I can specify an image/media file for a question.
My idea is, that it would be better to have that popup instead of a drop down list for the "Image to display" field that we see when editing a question.
Of course, there is the little difference that the files specified through the html editor popup are accessed via a fully specified url instead of a dynamically re-created url (which is the case for quiz question images selected using the drop-down list).
On this note, are there any projects in progress to modify the image/documents/media storage and access in Moodle?
Thanks.
