A teacher wants to look back at a chat that he created but had subsequently deleted. Is there anyway that I can see old chat files even after it's been deleted? I know I can when it exists but I'm baffled to how I can do it after deleting the chatroom.
Is there a way of looking back at chat thread on a deleted chat?

You cant get it back, because moodle delete all the chat content in database too. So there is no way to get.
