What does the Create Folder button do?

What does the Create Folder button do?

When adding a Folder resource the "Create Folder" button under the "Content" section of the "Adding a new Folder" page allows you to create a tiered structure for the Folder Resource.

But what does this same button do when adding a File Resource? Anything?  I have not been able to find this folder tree anywhere else but within the File Resource that is created which would make this button, seemingly, useless for this resource.

 Is it just there by default?  This maybe the case due to anytime the "Select files" option shows up within the "Content" setting it has the two buttons "Add...." and "Create folder".

 

Any insight would be appreciated thanks!

Thought experiment:

1. Make a .html file with the following text:

<img src="images/myimage.jpg">

2. Upload this into a FIle object

3. Where do you put the image?

smile

(Except for special weird usage, the 'Create folder' option is useless for file types that cannot refer to other files, so basically it is only for HTML, SWF, maybe a few others.)

Thanks for th heads up on this!  I will do some further testing today/tomorrow to see what I can come up with.
