I'm trying to make a fresh installation of Moodle 1.4.3 and discovered yesterday that my provider has enabled the SAFE MODE option.
I've seen an old post related to problem and possible solution in futur versions of Moodle.
Anyway, my provider ensure me that all PHP products are now able to deal with the SAFE MODE and do not want to switch it off.
As this could be the source of my installations problem, can anybody give me a status on the SAFE MODE support by Moodle ?

I've checked two machines where moodle runs. On both safe_mode = off !
Running Moodle in safe mode is not a terribly good idea. So, what was your installation problem?
