I heard that MNet will be removed from Moodle with 2.3 version. Is this correct? Is there any information about the replacement?

Yes MNet is going away.. Its documented on the MNet page. Web Services will be the replacement.

Thanks Stew. I found http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/MNet but it is only mentioning that MNet will go away. In the linked thread I don't find any agreement on a replacement.
Do I miss something?

Actually, it will not be going in Moodle 2.3 (because there is not a viable replacement yet). There should be an official announcement of that soon.
