im using moodle version 2.0.1 build 20101225
i have a problem where i cant upload photo into profile.
im doing all the necessary step to upload then after saving a error message appear saying "This username already exists, choose another".
i don't understand why but there is no other profile with the same username.
please help. thanks.

In your post you have asked for profile photo but in the screen-shot it is displaying for username. Do you want to ask for username or profile picture?

It's about photo profile error.
This happen to me after i update the profile.
This error message will appear and i don't understand why
I seems like a bug with the admin account ... or any account that allows you to edit the username... I mat be wrong though but here's what I did to get around the issue. Note that non admins in my moodle instance do not have an issue with uploading pictures and are allowed to:
1) Remove admin rights for that account (remember to have another admin account so you can reverse this action!)
2) Log in as account in step 1 and upload your picture (I had to use a png format fwiw otherwise the upload silently failed)
3) Restore admin privs to the account in question
