Is there a way in Moodle 2.1 to limit forum access to specific users? My administrator wants to have discussions with only some of our teachers.

You could use Groupings to do this within a course or else just make a course and enrol those certain teachers.
I tried Groupings but my version (2.1) doesn't have the check box to limit forum access only to the group members.
I'll take your suggestion and set up a new course.

You should be able to use groupings in 2.1.Do you have Groupings set up? Have you looked at Available for group members only?

I wonder if there is a way to do the same with glossaries. How could I limit access to (= the viewing of) the glossary to certain users?
(Grouping doesn't seem to work here.)
