Did I do this right? (permissions)

I was just reading another post about permissions and site vulnerability. So, I decided to go see how my permissions were set up.

I can't for the life of me remember installing Moodle, but I did have the knowhow to create a documents directory outside my www/ directory. This is a good thing, right?

I just checked permissions on that directory, and they are 777. Correct again?

this directory is NOT named moodledata. Not a problem, is it? My site works perfectly, so I'm guessing it's not a problem.

My Moodle folder inside my www/ directory has permissions of 755. Does that sound reasonable? I don't believe I changed anything from default when installing (a year ago).

I just want to make sure things are as secure as possible.

Regards,

Jesse
