Sorry for not replying sooner but this takes a bit of time to discover.
I still cannot replicate your issue, so as I said earlier I suspect you have a customisation to your bread crumb, so this can either be in the theme as indicated by the css 'breadcrumb' or an alteration to the 'navbar()' function which can be found in '/lib/outputrenderers.php'. Please see attached screen shot for details.
The main portion of the image is the 'Netbeans' IDE (netbeans.org) which can be downloaded with a plugin that understands 'php', then existing code can be imported into a new project to make use of the excellent searching facilities.
