I am investigating my company's migration from Moodle 1.9 to the latest version. We have a large library of SCORM modules which are shared by multiple courses, across multiple drupal sites.
I would like to do the following:
- Have a single location in our hosting environment where all SCORM modules are stored. These modules should be accessible to all moodle instances. Using the File Systemrepository and some unix directory linking, it is possible to do this and have multiple sites see the location on disk. Given that the same course and modules are used across 30+ sites, this will be a huge space and time saver.
- Prevent courses from creating local copies of courses. I.E. whenever a SCORM module is selected by a student, they should always receive the latest version of the SCORM module from disk, not a local cached copy.
Any ideas on how to achieve the second option above? The only way I can do this now is to go from course to course and reselect the SCORM module.
