separate 'Require enrolment key' option into more options

At the moment we cannot prompt new courses being created to require a key; we have to force them and all other courses as well or, not get asked for a key at all.

In Moodle 2.1 Under Plugins>Enrolments>Self Enrolment there is an option (Require enrolment key) to force all new courses to have enrolment keys and prevent them from removing a key from existing courses.

I think there is real merit to have those two options separated out as follows:

  • Require enrolment keys on all new courses (force an enrolment key to be added on new courses only-this would temporarily grey out the manual override checkbox created for the below step)
  • Prompt for enrolment keys on all new courses (include a manual override to ‘leave blank’. The ‘leave blank’ checkbox would not be checked by default)
  • Prevent removing of enrolment keys ...(this would permanently grey out the manual override checkbox created by the above step and prevent removal from all existing courses if selected)

You would be able to select both ‘Require enrolment keys’ and ‘Prevent removing of enrolment keys’ but ‘Prompt for enrolment keys’ would be independent.
