I have set up my main Moodle site to link with Mahara and another Moodle site succesfully using MNet.
Is there any way you can set this up so that a student sees only the Mahara link and teachers see both links in the network server block.
unfortunately, the Network servers block displays all sites your Moodle is MNet'ed with. There is a workaround though. You can copy the Mahara roaming URL from the block (it will be something like http://your.moodle.site/auth/mnet/jump.php?hostid=XYZ) into a new HTML block and provide the link for your students as a static one (you can even use an image for the link etc).
Then you can play with roles and permissions so that only your teachers (you will have to create a new global role for them probably, eg the Staff or so) can see the Network servers block while all other users (who have the capability to roam) will have permission to view the new HTML block with the manually created link to Mahara. To avoid confusion from both blocks available, you can finally hide the HTML block from the Staff members.
Thankyou so much David for your swift reply. I will try this.
As a side point I notice that you are the maestro behind the stamp collection-is there any news on version for 2.2. My pupils are all primary age (UK 5-11 years old) and they absolutely love it!
Thanks once again. I did what you suggested and it works fine.
