I can author a quiz in HotPotatoes, but does anyone know of a tutorial that gets questions in to Moodle?
I can't seem to find one, maybe it's too easy. Anyway, links/answers would be grafefully recieved.

Hi Faruq,
This is what Gordon wrote:

(I found it by doing a Google search for "Hot Potatoes for Moodle 2")
The HotPot module is not included in the standard install of Moodle 2.x.
You need to install it "by hand" like this:

PS: For Gordon, why can't I find the Hot Potatoes module in the Moodle Plugins Directory?
Hi Glenys and Faruq,
the instructions Glenys found need to be modified a bit reflect the some recent changes I made to the folder structure within the downloadable HotPot zip file.
Here are the most recent instructions to install the HotPot module for Moodle 2.x:
good luck !
Gordon
Thanks guys, that's great I'll have a go at that
Hi Gordon,
I've copied the above instructions into the Moodle docs here: http://docs.moodle.org/22/en/Adding/editing_a_hotpot
"Adding/editing a hotpot" no longer seemed an appropriate title, but I couldn't work out how to change it.
Please check I've done things right.
Cheers,
Glenys
I have managed to import the HotPot mudule as Gordon said. It worked perfectly in showing the HP quiz in Moodle.
However, I cannot import any HP questions into the Moodle Quiz.
In Settings: Quiz Administration: Question Bank: Import I got File Formats for Aiken Format to WebCT Format, but no Hot Potatoes format.
What am I doing wrong?
I have been able to do it in Moodle 1.9, but it seems to be different in Moodle 2.
Sorry Michael - there was a bug. It has been fixed now, so please download the latest HotPot for Moodle 2.x scripts and try again.
cheers
Gordon
Thanks Gordon.
I have done that and it seems to be working fine. It will save me a lot of time. I was dreading copying and pasting a lot of quizzes.
Regards
Michael
