I have a course where users are enrolled using LDAP.  Most of the users can access the course just fine, but approximately 30 of them cannot access the course - they get a message saying "you can not enrol yourself in this course".  This is not the first time this has occured, so I know it's not limited to a single course.

The only way around this is to enable self-enrolment for this course, but it is not an acceptable solution.  There is something fundamentally wrong with how users are being handled, and it could likely be how users are being imported from AD.  I have not found anything definitive yet.

Any advice would be appreciated, and please let me know what information I should provide.  Thanks!
