I wanted to install the latest 1.5dev but am getting the following error
Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_SL in /home/scholz/public_html/moodle/lib/moodlelib.php on line 94
any ideas? I'm a novice at all this.

Does the file moodle/lib/moodlelib.php end at line 94? Was there any problem with the upload?
If you send the 5 lines before and after line 94 that might help.
You could also try downloading the next version of 1.5 dev. It is changing every few hours I believe.

It looks like you made changes in moodlelib.php and then upgraded via the cvs. CVS was unable to reconcile your changes with the upgraded code and marked the part it couldn't figure out with a leading <<<.... I got the same error yesterday but if you load the latest version now, it should be fixed.
The upgrade worked with today's build. Now it's time to play with the new features...
