My aim is to develop a projects activity plugin using which teachers can add a project activity and then students can upload their projects along with description, source files, executables, usage rights, tags and categories.
These tags and categories can later be used to search through projects independent of the course they were uploaded to. The search can be performed by anyone who needs not be a registered user of moodle.
Any pointers for starting off would be useful. I have seen the developer documentation and it did not help much. I have recently installed moodle on my WAMPserver and also seen some guides but I have not found them useful
