Hello Moodlers, wondering if you can help me with some insights. There are educators here from all over the world and different cultures.
I live in US and have a regular job but I study neuro-science, ancient wisdom traditions and teach anger management techniques to adults. Anger in this country seems to be part of the culture, at least rarely ever mentions anything unless one is hurting someone physically but many people need help. So adults only seek help when they feel they can't handle their anger issues anymore but it is clear many of us learn to be angry as kids. If it was up to me, every school would have a class on emotional intelligence but until then its up tho the teachers to do something about it on individaul basis.
If you teach kids or you have some of your own, how do you teach them to work with their anger issues? Do you show them some anger management techniques to help them deal with their emotions? What works for you? What's effective? Any insights on real world approaces would be very appreciated.
