Is there a way to set things up so that when an employee chooses a course and enrolls (this is a f2f course), that an additional email (aside from the welcome email) gets sent to their supervisor so that their supervisor is advised of their choice and can approve the date and time of the employee attending?

we are currently developing the "enrolment upon approval" plugin (http://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=189334 ). There, in the current version, the admin is asked to confirm an enrolment request.
We want later to enhance it in the way you described. But first we want to make the current version stable.

Thanks for your replies to this and my other question about attendance dates selection under one course heading. At this point your plugin wouldn't work for us because we have only one admin, the IS guy with whom we're setting this up, who has nothing to do with training enrollments, and there's no way he's going to give any of us in the training dept admin rights, but it's nice to know it might be something available to us in the future.
