New Block: Marking Manager (testers needed)

Hello folks,

We've just finished the beta version of our Marking Manager block for Moodle 2.x. This block provides an overview of activity submissions and also allows teachers to mark all activities within a single interface (see screenshot below).

More info and download link are located within this PDF.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Fernando

Re: New Block: Marking Manager (testers needed)

Just tried to install this and got the following message:

Plugin "block_fn-marking" is defective or outdated, can not continue, sorry.

More information about this error

I have Moodle 2.1.2.

Ignore me; I'm simply a muppet! clown

I should read the instructions more carefully.

Okay, first thing I have come across is that, though you can see all marking in one area (which is perfect) and there is the potential to mark all unmarked work. Yet, you cannot actually mark all of the work since you can only submit one piece of feedback at a time. If you try (and I have) then the one feedback section you have clicked on gets saved and all other feedback is lost.

Please could we have a Save All Feedback button?

Just a quick note to thank the folks who sent us feedback.

We are planning a new release at the end of the month. Please stay tuned.

Re: New Block: Marking Manager (testers needed)

The Marking Manager block has been redeveloped from scratch and now works on Moodle 2.3 and 2.4.

Along with Assignments, this release also tracks forums (if the rating option is on inside the forum setting page).

At this point we are looking to do some heavy testing.

To install:

  1. Download the latest code from the GitHub repo here: https://github.com/fernandooliveira/moodlefn-marking-manager. You can do this by clicking on the "ZIP" button.
  2. Unload to your mymoodlesite/blocks directory
  3. Unzip the file and rename the directory to fn_marking
  4. Login as admin to install
  5. Add the block to a course

Please report all bugs here in this forum or at www.moodlefn.knet.ca

Thanks,

Fernando
