I am setting up a Japanese language training website with moodle. My aim is to provide users with accurate language multiple choices tests, in order for them to practice before going to take the real one.
The problem is that this Japanese language test happens twice a year the same day all around the world, so I am expecting peaks in usage in the period before that test takes place.
At the moment I have no idea of how many people will subscribe nor how big is the chance that I will experience many simultaneous accesses. If I started with an inexpensive web host solution (such as site5 or analogous) what would you think that would happen performance wise?
I wouldnt like to start big spending a lot of money on a professional host to end up seeing that it was superfluous.
Thank you for your thoughts,
