Good morning. I've got a system that is going to be rolling out ipads to students very soon now, and is looking at LMS. They're also looking at StudyWiz.
(FWIW, they also have the ipad issue with the disappearing HTML editing tools.)
Anyways, the workflow with studywiz works like this.
1. Edit documents in pages, etc. Use webdav and upload it to a personal dropbox.
2. Go into studywiz, go to the dropbox.
3. Move paper from dropbox into assignment dropbox.
All good. Here's where I stand with Moodle. I can make a webdav repository that's shared, upload a pages file, and then move it from there into an assignment. Yay! (Using xampp to test, it was a case of playing whack-a-mole with problems one by one. Fun!) But I can't figure out how to provision webdav repositories individually, for each user.
It would be one thing to provision webdav repositories for courses. That's a bit of a pain, but it's doable. Setting up 600+ individual repositories is just not feasible.
I am working on it now, and trying to figure it out, but I thought somebody perhaps had done this, or could point me to the right docs page. Can't find it so far.
This situation I've just described is only get to get more common. WebDav is going to be a defacto requirement in schools as more ipads come in. I prefer laptops and netbooks, but they're just not as cool...
