If I was you, then I would have logged in to the phpmyadmin, then went to mdl_user table and changed the password for the admin (edit the super admin user, change the password and from the function select box there, select MD5).
Yeppie you have the full access now!
Anyway, i am a complete noobie to moodle and just started learning it. I don't know what the experienced users do to change the super admin password, but this worked for me.
