Hi! I've been having the same problem in version 1.9 (matching questions inside a lesson). After a bit of trial and error, I got them to line up this way:
Go to "update lesson", and check the "use editor" boxes above Answer 1, Answer 2, and so on.
"Redisplay" page so you get the text editing options, and select the "align left" option.
Then uncheck the "use editor" boxes and "redisplay" the page - you will now see the html code.
Delete the <p /> from the end of your line of text.
Save page.
It should now line up! (Well, it did for me in 1.9 in any case.)
Note: At one stage, I tried just typing in some html code myself (i.e. rather than checking the "use editor" box), but it showed up in the responses (e.g. Your answer: < p align="left">Information was gathered from the following sources. = Research).
