I would like to be able to link another resource or project in lieu of an upload. It would be nice to be able to have students create an online project, like a wiki, journal or a forum thread and post a link to that as their work product. The system of uploading the assignment really doesn't provide any facility for this.
Alternatively if the simple "upload file" could be expanded to include a small text box amd a title, students could put links to their projects (or embed other content) right in the input screen.
I have run into this same problem with basic assignments too. Most of our uploads are just pictures. Users always to want to include a message, explanation, summary, question or title with their assignment upload, and having the capacity to do that would be great
