I wonder if my question fits here.
Some of our tutors have been using a moodle 1.9.something or other to teach by generating a lot of web pages and embedding lots of links in them.
Instead of putting links to resources at the end of each lesson, they put their resoures for a ten session course into box 11 and then wrote Wikipedia like text with links down to each of the individual resources. I lobbied for them to teach students to learn to click on the resources link on top left hand side and lost.
Now that I have rolled courses forward to 2011-12 wherethe text of the lessons had links embedded in narrative they all point back to the resources in 2010-11 courses.
I think that this is something that might not happen if we move to moodle 2 which has a repository for much used resources.
We want to keep previous years versions of courses in tact so that it can store submitted work both as a quality record and for the students (who can be on four year courses). I roll forward by creating a new course space and then importing material (uploaded files, questonnaires etc) from the previous course.
Help would be really appreciated.
