Moodle-Like Logo for Nonprofit

Moodle-Like Logo for Nonprofit

Hello,  I am starting a non-profit to help American school districts build and share quality Moodle courses.  I'd like to use a version of the draft logo attached, but don't know if that would violate Moodle's logo copyright.

I can't get access to the Moodle.com system yet, so I thought I'd try here.

thanks,

Don

Can't give you any better answer than to refer you to the moodle logo page and the information there, which says you need specific permission in writing to use the moodle name/logo in a variety of situations - and to contact moodle.com if you need that permission, or if you are not sure (as in your case)

I would suggest that means you will need to go through the moodle.com helpdesk as it states and that if you can't get through to them a bit of persistence there will probably pay off in the end.

I play trumpet and like to do old jazz "re-colorization" and play all the parts using a combo of a digital audio work station and my trumpet. Would love to collaborate of some items? I've even made one original piece... not for trying to make money but for personal enjoyment!

Send an email to the Moodle helpdesk (support@moodle.com) to request permission to use the Moodle logo.  Generally only Moodle Partners are given permission to use the Moodle name and/or logo to advertise or sell Moodle commercial services (things like Moodle hosting or training), even if they're free.  No problem using the logo in most other situations.
