I awoken this morning with a certain craving. Something that uses toast maybe some butter and a little syrup. the orgins may be french. Can anyone help me figure out what this sweet dish is called.

I normally call it French Toast but I have recipe for Chardin's Lost Bread. I took some simple recipes that I had come across and added a little Jesuit history along with them as I renamed them. Peace - Anthony
