Ok a little back ground of my moodle site. Version 1.9.12+ I am a training officer of a fire department. I have been working on a few courses. What I am trying to do is make certian courses visable/enrollable based on the rank of the member. I have included a custom profile field called rank and it has a drop down menu of items i.e. ( chief, deputy, captian, Lt, fire fighter, rookie)
So I want the "Rookie" members only to see and have access to certian courses. Then as they get promoted they have access to more training.
I have done alot of reading about groups etc but it doesn't make sense.
