I haven't really been acquainted with Moodle 2's repository system and so I don't know if it can do something like the following for me:
I'd like to have media files (mp3, mp4s, etc.) available as a repository and I would like to enable certain roles to add to these repositories while limiting the access to files to those files that have been added by a member of a group you belong to. If possible, I would also prefer to have these files stored somewhere other than my server (perhaps via dropbox or another cloud service?) so many thanks for any tips you can give me about this .
