I'm getting mad... I have an old version of MOODLE working and it works fine for everything I need except for the quizzes made with HOTPOT... When I upload a quiz I get the "Could not open the v6 template file "6.ht_"!... It doesn't happen if I upload a Crossword or a Cloze... I've tried to rename "hotpot6r.ht_" or "jquiz6.ht_" as "6.ht_"... and the error disappears but the quiz doesn't display... Any help?
I've tried installing the Quizport module and try to add the activity through this module but ehn I upload the file and choose it and save changes my MOODLE goes to a blankpage... and there it stops Please, someone could help me with it? My MOODLE version is Moodle 1.5.3+ (2005060230).
Thanks a million!
PS: Something really strange... if I upload a quiz with a text to read through the hotpot module (not quizport), it works... But no text, no working
Please attach you quiz file to your next post this forum.

I just checked whether QuizPort would run on this version of Moodle, and I found a bug which might cause the blank screen in Moodle 1.5. I have fixed the issue now, so please could you download QuizPort again and reinstall it - i.e. replace the old "mod/quizport" folder with the one in the following zip file:
I've redownloaded it and... i worked... So many thanks... Anyway, I attach my quiz just in case you want to have a look and discover why it doesn't work with the hotpotmodule.
Just, I'm thinking about it right now, it's, perhaps, because I don't want all my questions to display and I want them to appear in random order... That's something I always do in my quizzes and that I never do in my quizzes when I attach a text (and the ones with a text were the only ones that worked!)...
And let me it say again... THANK YOU VERY MUCH for your help with the quizportmodule!
By the way, I'm using Quizport and it works better than fine But I'm having trouble to discover its multiple function since the help files are not available... Is there somewhere where I can read what exactly means wighting or free access to revision and so?
there are some introductory tutorials to QuizPort here:
Also, when adding or updating at QuizPort unit or quiz, you will can get help for each setting by clicking on the help icon, . Did you try that already?
Yes, I've tried but I always get the same message: Help file "showpopup.html" could not be found!
Thanks for your help!
In order to display the QuizPort help files on Moodle 1.5 you will need to copy the QuizPort help files ...
- FROM: mod/quizport/lang/en_utf8/help/quizport
- TO: lang/en/help/quizport
If you download and install the latest version of the Quizport module, it will attempt to do this for you:
I've just found THE problem... Quizport displays the quizzes (made with jquiz) fine but the results aren't transferred to MOODLE... They are with crosswords, match exercises and so... but not with quizzes! SOS! I'm on the verge of starting to work with it with my students and I cannot get their marks!
I just checked all the 5 types of Hot Potatoes quizzes using QuizPort on Moodle 1.5.4+ and the results were reported in all cases.
So, to your next post to this forum, please attach one of your JQuizzes that is not working and I will check it works on my server.
I just tried viewing your dates.jqz file with QuizPort in Moodle 1.5 and the results were correctly recorded and reported.
I don't understand why it doesn't work for me... well, it's displayed, I answer it and get the mark but when I go to view my grades they are not recorded there (if the hotpot is a match or a crossword, the results appear on the grades pages but none of the quizzes... neither dates.htm that I uploaded here for you to test) ( Any clues about what's wrong with my MOODLE?
I have created an account on your Moodle site. If you enable my account and make me a teacher in the course where you are having problems, I can come and have a look and perhaps be able to tell you more exactly why your Moodle 1.5.3 and my Moodle 1.5.4+ behave differently.
