Q and A forum using Separate Groups

I am using a Q and A forum with Separate Groups. Students are not seeing a Reply button for the main post. What am I doing wrong?

First, your students must be assigned to a group (I'm assuming you've done that!).

Second, when you Add a new discussion, you must first change from All Participants to one of the groups, using the drop-down menu in the upper left of the forum.  You must post separate questions for each group.
