I've had a trawl through the plugins, and a quick look at some of the code in Moodle 2.1, but am unable to find how I might populate a course with some content on creation. Ideally, I want to add a general forum (like a common room) for students, in addition to the News Forum, and a weblink which I endeavour to dynamically change depending on the course name, that will link to a course description on our CMS.
If someone can point me in the general direction, that would be most appreciated.
