GSoC 2011 logoCongratulations and very well done to all of our Google Summer of Code 2011 students for successfully completing their projects!

Ankit Agarwal, mentored by Dan Marsden, has been working on some SCORM reporting improvements, including a new SCORM interactions report (MDL-28277) which is due to be included in Moodle 2.2. See Dan's blog post Moodle 2.2 SCORM Reporting improvements and GSOC for more details. Congratulations also to Ankit for being offered a job working for Moodle HQ!

David Monllaó, mentored by Michael de Raadt, has developed a plugin for Moodle 2.1 called Moodle flavours. A 'flavour' is a packaged set of Moodle site settings, plugins and language packs that can be shared between Moodle installations. David's plugin is now available for download from the modules and plugins database: Moodle flavours. For further details, see Michael's blog post Moodle has Flavours and join the discussion Moodle flavours - GSOC 2011 Project.

Mayank Gupta, also mentored by Dan Marsden, has been working on a SCORM Test Harness that enables SCORM ADL 1.2 and 2004 tests to be run automatically - particularly helpful for checking that any new code hasn't broken SCORM compliance. Mayank has also helped resolve a number of SCORM 2004 bugs, with the fixes available in Moodle 2.2. For further details, see Dan's blog post Moodle 2.2 SCORM 2004 and GSOC.

A big thank you to our Google Summer of Code students and their mentors for their Moodle development work and also to Google for their sponsorship of the programme.
