how can you manually enter or change quiz grade

Hello, moodlers...

We are using moodle version 1.8.13.

When I select "View Grades" for a quiz, I see a list of participants and their grades.  We use a 0% - 100% scale.

I would like to edit a participant's grade/score for this particular quiz from 0% to 95.5%, but cannot figure out how to do that.

I see that there is a "Grade Exceptions" tab, where I can exclude the participant from grading.  I can use that if I have to.  But then, how do I get the excluded name to appear in the list with some designation that this participant is excluded?  Currently the participant shows 0%.

Thanks!

It has been awhile since I used version 1.8 and 1.9, but I still have a copy of 1.9.12.

Here's one method.

Click on "Grades".  In the Grader Report, click on "Turn editing on". This is in the upper right side of the report. Now you should be able to change the grade up to its maximum.
