Hi again! So to recap you wanted a role that can see hidden activities but not view/grade others' work? You wanted the student role but with the ability to see hidden activities? You copied the student role and then gave them the capability "view hidden activities " and "view hidden sections" -that should do. Then gave this role to people instead of the editing teacher role or non-editing teacher role. But the teachers couldn't see the work of the people with this new role? Have you looked at Site admin>grades>general settings and made sure that the new role is checked in graded roles?
