Displaying 2 sets of names in list of participants

Hi, I just started working with mnet and have successfully gotten 2 instances working together nicely however, one thing I have just noticed is that there are now 2 instances of each user in the list of participants on our 2nd instance.  I realize a 2nd account is being created.  Is there any way around this problem?

Mnet is both a inta Moodle networking protocal and a enrolment method.

When a student networks from one Moodle to another there profile is also transfered.  Even if they have a native account on the second Moodle.

When you look at the users as a admin or manager (Moodle 2*) you can for cases as above, see 2 instances or the same student/user.   The one that has the Allow/Deny is the Mnet one.

Thats about as clear as mud, I think. thoughtful

So is there any way around this?  It's just not Admin that see's the additional accounts. In some case there are 3 instances of the same user (teacher or student) in the participants' list.  I'm just wondering if I am doing something wrong...

Look at your Mnet topography.   It sounds like have something like this.

A >> B  B >>C  C>>A meaning that the remote Moodles can roam between each other.  That would account for multiple entries.

What you need is Gateway (SSO) A >> B   A >> C  B & C can't roam between each other.

When you log out from a B or C it will take you back to your gateway A.

By turning the inter roaming off it may fix the multiples.  Not guaranteed.

hmmm... so you can't set this up with just 2 instances, you would need a third?
