Starting development in moodle

Hi there i am doing a project to develop a new module. But first i need to know how to start developing stuff in moodle. I have downloaded the file newmodule. And the course i added is vissible but i get this error ERROR: No lang file (C:\apachefriends\xampp\htdocs\moodle/lang/en/testmodule.php)

whenever the name of the new module must apear. How can i fix this what do i have to put in the lang file? And another thing if i want to add an instance of that new module moodle sais it can't how can i fix that ?

When I made my first module, I discovered I needed a corresponding language file that defined its name for your language.

Make sure you have a file in moodle/lang/en/
named <modulename>.php
with the contents

<?php // $Id$

$string['blockname'] = 'My great module name';
$string['pagedescription'] = 'My awesome description';

?>

I was doing a block in this case.
