Is it possible with the roles and responsibilities system in Moodle 1.9 to allow a role to create courses but prevent them adding an idnumber? The best I've managed is to prevent editing of the idnumber after the course is created but that's not the same thing.
The use case is that I'm trying to set up a category where any authenticated user can create a course, but am reluctant to let them add an idnumber as it has the potential to break (or at least confuse) our enrolment integration with our student records system. In this scenario there's no need for the courses to have an idnumber anyway, so it would be best just to disable it altogether, but this doesn't seem to be an option.
