thanks, Dan, and Marc. I do appreciate your responses. (Sorry I was, at best, impolite if not boring ... I know.) I'll try to get my act together.

Meanwhile, I think the cron is running, on the wget line --
and on this slashargument, I've now checked marked it, which should disable it, as default is yes.

If I have further questions (when!), I'll do my best to document the needs and actions better, and try more research first.
